She decided she wanted to have her own career when she married him. So, she started designing women’s clothes. But she didn’t become known as a fashion designer until after her divorce from Egon.
She moved to New York, which is where she met Vogue editor Diana Vreeland who listed her on the calendar for New York Fashion Week.
