ENTITY reviews some of our favorite androgynous fashion trends.

Androgynous fashion, though nothing new to the industry, continues to dominate fashion trends in 2017. And why wouldn’t it?

In conjunction with the fight for gender equality and LGBTQ rights, removing the traditional gender associations from clothes has been liberating for both men and women. Now, people are encouraged to wear clothes that allow them to genuinely live as themselves.

So if you’re a woman looking to rock androgynous fashion because it suits your style, then you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of ENTITY’s favorite androgynous trends that have made it to 2017.

1 The pantsuit

It doesn’t matter if your pantsuit fashion icon is Hillary Clinton or Ruby Rose, any woman can rock a a well-tailored pantsuit. Who says you need a dress to look professional? Pantsuits are comfortable, stylish and totally fabulous regardless of your body type.

2 Button up shirts

Button up shirts – especially flannels – are all the rage right now. Don’t let traditional labels stop you from strutting on over to the “men’s section” at Forever 21 and picking up that red flannel you’ve been eyeing. The loose fit will look great with some skinny jeans or a body con skirt.

3 Denim

As the last couple decades have shown, denim will always be in style. Whether you’re wearing flared jeans, boyfriend jeans or skinny jeans, they’re comfortable and they look great. And the best part of all? They actually have pockets! You know, unlike most “women’s” pants.

4 Neckties and bowties

Ladies, don’t let the men in your life steal the necktie spotlight. Neckties look will look great paired with a button up and a cardigan. Maybe even throw in a fedora if you’re feeling extra fancy.

5 Blazers

Blazers are fashion staples because they go with pretty much anything and can be worn year-round. They also take casual outfits to the next level. With blazers, you look professional and polished without even having to try.
