Entity explains why #FreeMelania posts only fuel Donald Trump's Narcissism.Melania Trump, Donald Trump

The #FreeMelania memes and posts which have been swirling around social media ever since First Lady Melania Trump looked miserable at her husband’s inauguration are nothing to laugh about, according to a mental health expert.

“It fuels the president’s ego every time we talk about him,” anti-stress specialist Michele Paradise tells ENTITY. “Donald Trump has all the markers of a Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), which is incurable, and being the partner of someone with NPD is one of the most difficult relationships to survive.”

The Los Angeles-based counsellor adds that the amusing images depicting Melania Trump frowning and feeling neglected or imprisoned by her husband are counterproductive.

“They achieve nothing except for the person writing them a brief reprieve form the political chaos we are currently experiencing and some likes on social media. This doesn’t in any way help Melania, who at this moment is probably feeling even more isolated, neglected and lonely than ever before.”

2 Jokes are going round that the blue gift box Melania presented to Michelle Obama on inauguration day contained a note saying: “Help!”

Michele Paradise tells ENTITY that, “People who have NPD have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultraconfidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism and this is what Melania has been dealing with all of her married life and it has just intensified since he won the election.”

3 People can’t stop posting about this

“The pleasure they get from these posts is extremely temporary,” anti-stress specialist Paradise adds. “Underneath is worry and concern about the future of this country and their own individual situation.”

“What Melania needs now is to be left alone by the public and surround herself with loving friends and family, which I hope she has access to,” concludes Michele Paradise.

“Melania didn’t sign up for the position of First Lady when she married Donald Trump and has little to no experience in the world of politics. So the best thing we can do is take the spotlight off her, stop talking about her and hope that she has good people around her that can help her maneuver this difficult time. There is a 10-year-old boy, Baron, in the middle of all this animosity, if nothing else, let’s keep his mother well for him.”
