Entity reports on Gal Gadot getting the wrong award.

“Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot has been named as China’s favorite American actress – even though she’s an Israeli.

But she didn’t let that misunderstanding stop her from picking up the trophy anyway at Wednesday’s Golden Angel Awards in Hollywood.

And nobody seemed to mind the blunder at the ceremony, which celebrates friendship and partnership between east and west.

“The love I’ve received is not taken for granted and the trophy is beautiful, as well as being heavy enough for a good workout,” Gadot said from the stage.

Paris Hilton and ENTITY’s own Sandro Monetti were among the awards presenters at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre event , which is the centerpiece of L.A.’s now underway Chinese American Film Festival.

Gadot, 31, who can currently be seen in comedy movie “Keeping Up with the Joneses,” first became popular in China for her role as Gisele Yasher in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise of films, which have been hugely successful there. She gained more fans playing Wonder Woman in “Batman v Superman” and will return to the role in her own movie, “Wonder Woman,” out next year.

She is something of a wonder in real life too having previously served as a soldier in the Israeli army for two years and been a top fashion model and as well as representing Israel in the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

At the film awards ceremony, which was screened on TV across China, Gadot said she hopes to visit the country next year to promote the release there of  her “Wonder Woman” film.
