Gal Gadot stars in the second official trailer of the highly anticipated “Wonder Woman” movie, taking on the iconic role of Diana Prince, an Amazonian princess who becomes one of the greatest female heroines of all time.

“I used to want to save the world — this beautiful place,” Wonder Woman says in the trailer. “But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within.”

In the clip, we witness Princess Diana of Themyscira before she becomes Wonder Woman and uses her superhuman abilities to deflect bullets and help defeat the Axis powers.

The trailer release come on heels of the Wonder Woman’s comic book character being name United Nations ambassador. “The character will be used to promote messages about women’s empowerment and gender-based violence,” the U.N. said in a statement.

Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Connie Nielson will also star alongside the “Fast and Furious” actress.

The film, produced by Warner Bros and DC Comics, is set to release on June 2, 2017.
