Entity loves Gwyneth Paltrow's no makeup look for her birthday.

Since the start of the no makeup movement that Alicia Keys has spearheaded, various celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, have been inspired to reveal their bare faces as well. To celebrate her 44th birthday, Paltrow joined the au natural trend with a no makeup selfie of her own. In the caption she tells her followers, “[No makeup] for my 44th birthday, embracing my past and future.”

Her fans immediately complimented her radiant skin and smile, telling her how “gorgeous” and “fresh” her face looks without the eyebrow fills and the eyeliner. One user even wrote, “I am profoundly inspired by this post. Thank you.”

As the founder of Goop, Paltrow is no stranger to caring for her skin. So, she regularly forgoes the shadows and liners to let her skin breathe.

“I generally don’t wear that much makeup,” Paltrow tells The New York Times. “[In L.A. I’m] outside a lot, there’s hiking and swimming. It feels in a way that [I’m] more engaged with nature.” Because of this lifestyle, Paltrow usually uses Tata Harper or RMS. Both these products have a little cream blush for her lips and cheeks.

Aside from that, her skincare routine includes serums and face oils. One of the products she uses is Goop’s Instant Facial, which she says “has some gentle fruit acids in it and you feel it go active because there’s a little tingle.” There are also exfoliating beads in it (not microbeads, Paltrow clarifies) that “leave [her] glow-y.” Afterwards, she uses day or night cream and then eye cream to finish it off.
