Hannibal Buress has always been a comedian and a TV personality, even before his appearances on “Broad City” as Lincoln. And apparently, he’s really good at the whole comedy thing.

His comedic history on Comedy Central and his current professional expansion into the world of movies and TV shows like “The Nice Guys,” “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” and “The Eric Andre Show,” demonstrate how Hannibal is quickly rising through the ranks for his humor.

So, to celebrate the successes of Hannibal Buress, here’s a list of his top five funniest jokes.

1 When Apple Juice Clouded the Mind from Racism

This joke came from Hannibal Buress’ stand-up comedy show. This college tale takes place in a grocery store during an insane apple juice sale, while he was in an interracial relationship with a white woman.

2 When He Pulled a “Parent Trap” at the Spiderman Homecoming Premiere

On Hannibal Buress’ Twitter account, he asked around for a look-alike. And although he got many responses – an awkwardly high number of white males – he found an impersonator that was so good at his job, there were many people on the red carpet who didn’t even notice the difference.

The impersonator, Joe Carroll, not only showed up to the red carpet event in Hannibal’s place, he also did an interview for Buress’ role in a movie. Talk about dedication.

Apparently, Buress didn’t do this as just a joke – although it did turn out to be a hilarious one. He honestly couldn’t make it to the interview because he was busy filming a movie called “Tag,” and we guess it was too late to un-RSVP. So, he paid Carroll $500 to take on his persona.

3 When he made the Infamous Bill Cosby Joke

A lot of people don’t know this, but it was Hannibal Buress that reignited the Bill Cosby rape scandal.

Hannibal didn’t think the stand-up would be such a big deal, but he has absolutely no regrets for raising awareness to the ongoing case. Additionally, it expedited his already rising career to what it is now. Although we don’t have access to clear video footage of this specific stand-up routine, read the following transcript to see what we’re talking about:

“Thirteen? And it’s even worse because Bill Cosby has the fucking smuggest old black man public persona that I hate. Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom. Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches.

“I don’t curse on stage. Well, yeah, you’re a rapist. So, I’ll take you sayin’ lots of motherfuckers on Bill Cosby himself if you weren’t a rapist … I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns … I’ve done this bit on stage, and people don’t believe. People think I’m making it up … That shit is upsetting. If you didn’t know about it, trust me. You leave here and Google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’ It’s not funny. That shit has more results than Hannibal Buress.”

In his Jimmy Kimmel interview, he explains that he did receive a lot of backlash for his joke. Because of this, he was paranoid about possible retaliation from Cosby himself; so much so, Hannibal told Fader that when girls would come to him at bars, he would think they were Bill Cosby’s personal agents, sent for revenge.

4 When He was Extremely Awkward on Australian TV Because Why Not

While Hannibal Buress was on his tour called, “The Hannibal Montanabal Experience,” he had a couple of appearances in Australia. He made one of his appearances on The Project, an entertainment news Australian network, and he decided he would play a joke on them. A local Charleston newspaper reported that during the interview, Hannibal took out a random children’s book, claimed the book was his and that he wanted to promote this book on air while he was in Australia.

Predictably, that wasn’t his book at all. However, that didn’t stop him from reading the children’s counting book from cover to cover, while the Australian hosts awkwardly sat there hesitant, amazed and confused all at the same time.

We feel like explaining the situation isn’t doing it enough justice, so we’ve simply provided a video of the interview below. You know, so you can get the full effect of Hannibal’s madness.

5 When he roasted Justin Bieber on a Spit fork with Truth Tea

The last joke that makes this list belongs to Hannibal Buress’ part in Justin Beiber’s roast. Buress got the best dig on Bieber by actually telling the truth about what happened. Read the transcript of the joke that Comedy Central recorded but didn’t air because it was just too real:

“They say that you roast the ones you love, but I don’t like you at all, man. I’m just here because it’s a real good opportunity for me. Actually, you should thank me for participating in this extremely transparent attempt to be more likable in the public eye. And I hope it doesn’t work.”

Since Comedy Central decided not to air Hannibal’s genius, Hannibal, the first amendment advocate that he is, decided he wouldn’t let the network censor his jokes. So, as a way to spread the joke, Hannibal posted the clip on Twitter with the caption: “This one got cut from #BieberRoast. I get it.”
