Moviemaker Wes Anderson has directed a Christmas commercial for fashion brand H&M and, much like his films, it’s artsy and different.

The train themed spot steers off the traditional path for festive ads and runs nearly four minutes long but is still packed full of holiday spirit.

H&M not only hired “The Grand Budapest Hotel” director to conduct a short film but also recruited Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody, who has been in three of Anderson’s movies, to star in it.

Brody pointed out the importance of the commercial’s uplifting message, telling  NME, “This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world when we could all do with giving a stranger a hug.”

The advertisement follows a train full of eager passengers awaiting their arrival home for the holidays. Unfortunately the trip is delayed for weather-related reasons. After breaking the devastating news to the cabin, Brody’s train conductor holds a holiday brunch for the travelers.

While uplifting, the connection between an indie short film and a fashion brand appears unclear. Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s head of design and creative director, explains how the video relates to the company’s latest clothing collection.

“The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson’s direction, is the perfect setting for H&M’s holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance,” Wohlfahrt told NME. “It’s about mixing the informal with a sense of occasion, capturing the holiday mood for both dressing up and getting cosy with loved ones.”

2016 has been trending as a devastating year for many, threatening to put a damper on the happiest day of the year. An advertisement might seem to make little impact. Yet this one may have saved Christmas, according to Vice.

Though “Come Together” is limited in dialogue, the holiday message rings loud and clear – just in time for Cyber Monday. Watch the full video of the short film above, courtesy of H&M.
