Tom Cruise makes almost every girls’ “hot older men” list, and while we agree that he is so-very-attractive, we have stumbled upon some surprising facts about Mr. Cruise and we thought we would share. If you’ve ever wondered…
Well, how tall is Tom Cruise? Now you know.
My teenage dreams of looking up into Tom Cruise’s dreamy eyes have immediately unraveled… and looking down at him from my perch at 5′ 9” just doesn’t have the same enchanting appeal.
How tall is Katie Holmes then? At only 5′ 7”, all of Cruise’s wives have been taller than him. Mimi Rogers is 5′ 8”, Nicole Kidman is 5′ 10.5”, and Katie Holmes is 5′ 10”. I’m sure they had to find a way to make low heels look cute.
For someone we so strongly associate with Scientology (as in the only thing we know about Scientology is that Tom Cruise practices it), it is pretty surprising that he was raised Catholic and originally aspired to become a Catholic priest.
His first wife, Mimi Rogers, is the one who introduced him to Scientology, which he eventually converted to and continues to practice.
In his wedding to his third wife, Katie Holmes, his best man was David Miscavige, no less than the leader of Scientology.
On top of his extensive acting career, Cruise formed his production company in 1993 with his ex-talent agent Paula Wagner. “Mission Impossible” (1996) was the first film Tom Cruise produced, and it was co-produced by Cruise/Wagner Productions.
Who knew our favorite, handsome actor was so multi-talented?
In both 2001 and 2006, Cruise made the Forbes list of most powerful people. Less surprisingly, various magazines also gave him the title of “World’s Sexiest Man” and “Most Beautiful People in the World.”
The holiday falls on October 10th. Cruise was apparently given this national holiday because he is the Hollywood star who has made the most visits to Japan.
