ENTITY explains Instagram posting times.

With so much information out there recommending different Instagram posting times, it’s hard to determine which data is accurate. There are a lot of good suggestions out there, but you can’t use them all. ENTITY explains how to choose from the pile and pick the best Instagram posting times for your account.

1 Time Zone

Check to see if the recommendations are in your time zone. If the social media report doesn’t list a time zone, or it is outside your time range, then you should probably avoid using that time.

If you are hoping to reach people across multiple different time zones, then you should utilize the zone that has the biggest amount of followers. Instagram Insights can tell you which locations contain the largest amount of your followers under the “Audience” tab.

2 Demographic

Your Audience tab can also tell you what percentage of followers are in different gender and age groups. This can also help you determine when to post. Working-age females tend to sleep more than males, and younger people tend to sleep less and later than older ages.

You can utilize this data to your advantage when picking between different Instagram posting times in the evening. If one resource recommends 11 PM while another recommends 9 PM, know that a largely female-based audience would probably do better at the 9 PM time.

3 Follower Activity

However, the best way to determine which recommendation is best for your account is by analyzing follower activity directly. You can also do this in the Audience tab with the very last chart. It displays a bar graph that displays which days and times followers are usually online.

To find the hours of most active follower usage, make sure the graph is set to “Hours.” Then search through the week and record which time is best for each day. Use this data to choose between recommended times.

Let’s say you’re choosing between a 9 AM or 6 PM time on Sunday. If Insights shows you have a high level of active followers at the 6 PM time slot, you should go with the later time.

Hopefully, this helped you determine ways to pick and choose Instagram posting times from the immense amount of recommendations. Of course, the most surefire way to find your personal Instagram schedule is to test these times and analyze the results. For more information on that, check out ENTITY’s article here.
