It’s expensive being a movie superstar. Johnny Depp spends $2 million each month to maintain his lavish lifestyle, according to court papers.

He owns 14 homes around the world, flies on private jets at a cost of $200,000 a month, sails a 150-foot yacht that cost him $18 million and spends $30,000 each month on expensive wines for his personal consumption.

The staggering extent of his spending is detailed in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by his former business managers.

That is a countersuit filed after Depp sued them claiming his managers at The Management Group mishandled more than $25 million of his earnings.

“Depp, and Depp alone, is fully responsible for any financial turmoil he finds himself in today,” states the countersuit.

It continues, “He has refused to live within his means, despite the best efforts of TMG and the repeated warnings about his financial condition from TMG and his other advisors.”

The suit says Depp spent more than $75 million to purchase and maintain homes everywhere from France to the Bahamas.

Plus he has 12 storage units to contain his collections of Hollywood memorabilia and fine art.

ENTITY reports on Johnny Depp's luxuriously expensive lifestyle.

One of the more jawdropping claims is that Depp spent $3 million to blast the ashes of  Hunter S. Thompson’s ashes out of a cannon to give the eccentric writer he played in “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” a unique memorial service.

In response to the suit, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, said in a statement, “How cataloguing alleged spending by Mr. Depp of his own money could somehow absolve the defendants of their large and multi-faceted mosaic of wrongdoing will ultimately be determined by the Court.”
