Did you ever dream of a house made of ice cream? Well, a new museum coming to Los Angeles is basically about to fulfill all of those weird, childhood wishes.
The Museum of Ice Cream literally has a swimmable pool full of 100 million sprinkles – and… by sprinkles we mean tiny, colorful pieces of plastic that are cleaned daily. So don’t worry about catching some weird infection. – and a banana split room with thousands of bananas.
You can even climb around on a melted popsicle jungle gym. If this dreamscape sounds at all familiar, then you probably saw the thousands of Instagram posts from the New York location – which, ps was a quarter of the size of the upcoming LA version.
There are tons of other exhibits, including 10 designed specifically for the LA installation. So yeah, that’s at least 10 new opportunities for a killer Instagram photo — because we all know that’s what you were thinking. You can totally live out those Katy Perry “California Gurls” dreams.
Okay, now that we’re all basically human forms of the heart eye emoji, let me just tell you one more thing… There’s gonna be ice cream. (Duh.) Like, real, edible fancy ass ice cream from places like McConnell’s, Coolhaus and Salt & Straw. The website touts a ~30-minute tour of “liking, licking and sharing.”
The museum runs from April 22 until May 29, and come Monday – when tickets go on sale – we’re all going to be screaming for ice cream.
