#LetNannyGoToProm has teens fighting for grandmother to go a school dance, Entity reports.

Bryce Maine wants to spend his senior prom giving his beloved grandmother the high school experience she never had.

The Alabama high school student made a colorful, poster board sign, embellished with the word “Prom?” and surprised his grandmother Catherine with a heartwarming “promposal.”

My Grandma is the most important woman in my life, and she’s never had a prom before so I figured why not let her go with me,” he told Inside Edition. Aw!

She, of course, said yes, and even went out and a bought a new dress for the event. And let me tell you, if this picture of a sweet, old Grandma in her first prom dress doesn’t pull at your heart strings… well, I don’t know what will.

Entity reports the charming old woman already bought a dress, #LetNannyGoToProm.

She already bought a dress! #LetNannyGoToProm

But alas the adorable promposal was just too pure for this world, and “the man” had to go and crush Catherine’s dreams. See, Eufaula High School bars anyone over the age of 20 from attending prom. So Grandma Catherine can’t go.

For the 10 years I have been high school principal, we have denied requests each year from students asking to bring older dates to prom. We do not chance leaving any stone unturned when it comes to safety,” the school principal said in a statement.

It seems pretty easy to discern between a sweet gesture for an older family member, and say, the neighborhood bad boy who’s like 10 years older than his date. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Eufaula is willing to make any exceptions.

That didn’t sit well with Bryce’s cousin, who took to Facebook to share the injustice with hashtag “#LetNannyGoToProm.” She also kept fans updated on her grandmother’s case, posting earlier this week, “This has reached the board of education, and a teacher has called Bryce as well. They think if he takes Nanny to prom then future students will do it as a joke and make the school a mockery! And basically is wanting him to take this down.. It aint happening!”

But don’t cry for Catherine just yet. Bryce plans to skip the April 8 prom in solidarity if the school board doesn’t change their mind. The perhaps cutest teenage boy ever even said the family can throw their own prom at his house, with music, lights and friends so Nanny can still wear the dress she bought.

“I will not attend prom without her. We will just make our own,” he said.  Aww! Here’s hoping Nanny gets the prom she’s always wanted.
