Participate in these LGBTQ+ events across the U.S. this Pride Month!
June is Pride Month and it’s definitely not too late to get out of the closet and onto the streets with these pride events.
If you didn’t already know, Pride parades have been around for decades. On the first anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots, people got together to celebrate one of the most important days in the LGBTQ movement. The Stonewall uprising, as Britannica argues, “served as a catalyst for a new generation of political activism.”
And in every Pride parade, Stonewall lives.
