Entity reports that some think Elizabeth Warren should be silenced.

It’s about time Elizabeth Warren was made to shut up, according to Republican senator Lindsey Graham.

He has called the silencing of the outspoken Democrat on the Senate floor “long overdue.”

In a nationally syndicated radio show interview, Graham said, “The bottom line is, it was long overdue with her. I mean, she is clearly running for the nomination in 2020.”

Massachusetts senator Warren was ruled to have broken Senate rules by impugning another senator and officially silenced on Tuesday. The censuring followed her reading a letter from the late Coretta Scott King, wife of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. , as part of her objection to the nomination as attorney general of Republican Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama.

Appearing on the Mike Gallagher Show,  the South Carolina senator said of Warren, “The Democratic Party is being pushed really hard by the most extreme voices in their community and they just don’t know how to handle it. If they empower her, then I think the Democratic Party is gonna lose way with the vast majority of the American people.”

But words like that won’t disturb Warren.

After all this is the woman who used the words of Taylor Swift in a commencement speech when advising her audience how to deal with critics. She said, “As one of the great philosophers of our time has said, ‘Haters going to hate, hate, hate hate, hate.’ Knowing who you are helps you ‘Shake It Off.’”

Lindsay Graham ran for the presidency at the last election – not that many people noticed. He announced his candidacy in June 2015 but was out of the race six months later after failing to attract enough support to continue.

Elizabeth Warren is considered one of the leading contenders for the Democratic Party nomination to take on Donald Trump in 2020. She may have been silenced this time but it doesn’t sound like she will be stopped.
