Although Louis suits everyone else in the firm just fine with his emotional outbursts, his constant regression stalls his story. It’s been six seasons. It’s about time he gets more personal growth in “Suits” season seven.

Yes, he’s grown a lot in his relationships and his capacity to be a team player. His sexual innuendos and littastic moments are funnier than ever. But he still flies off the handle and falls victim to his emotions.

His behavior can no longer be dismissed as “that’s just how he is.” Even Louis Litt’s sister, Naomi Litt, can only take her brother in doses. It’s Louis’ turn to grow into a better-developed person, just as everyone else has considerably grown in their personal lives during their time at Pearson Specter Litt.

He Might Be Littastic, But When his Fuse Gets Lit, He’s Destructive.

Angry Louis suits the humor of the show. There are many great Louis Litt quotes that come from his sexual innuendos or when he goes off on another character.

However, angry Louis has also always been a liability.

Before, they had Jessica to clean up after his mess and wash his sheets when he shat the bed. Who will have the power and pull to do that now that she’s gone?

Harvey will have his hands full just trying to run the backend part of the firm. He can’t be Louis’s babysitter anymore, especially not in Louis’s personal life.

Louis lost the woman he felt could be the one for him, simply because he flew off the handle and began attacking her. At the firm, that behavior might fly as long as you apologized later. But to other people who aren’t accustomed to lawyer idiosyncrasies, this behavior is far from okay.

He’s the Only Character Left Without Marked Personal Growth.

Harvey has finally forgiven his mother and can emotionally move on. Donna got over her hesitation to pursue her dreams. Rachel stepped out from her father’s professional and psychological shadow. And Jessica finally figured out what was more important than her quest for power: happiness and a family.

Louis has been the only character to only go halfway in his progress. He tends to think before blowing up more than he used to. Louis has also learned the value of family and loyalty. However, when push comes to shove, he falls right back into his vicious emotional habits. Throughout the “Suits” series, he always takes one step forward just to take two steps back.

A little faster progress has never hurt nobody. In actuality, if he were willing to grow faster, he would still be with the love of his life.

Louis did speak the truth to Tara. Her questioning his character was hypocritical. However, the problem was how he confronted her.  He has always ripped people to shreds because they made him feel badly. Clearly, he shouldn’t have done this to Tara.

However, his lawyer family knows this about him. This is why they try sugarcoat things when they say something to him. But no wife will want to do that every time she talks with her husband. No one wants to deal with children in the house before there are actually children in the house.

So now that he’s improved his dynamic with the people at work, it’s time for him to focus on becoming more well-balanced for the people in his personal life.

Being Littastic is fine, as long as he starts seeing the boundaries that cross personal lines. Who knows, maybe when Tara sees Louis has been working on himself, he can get her back as a girlfriend.

We love Louis now, but can you imagine if he could be the funny, sweet Louis all the time? It would be awesome.
