ENTITY reports on Mad Hatter Day.

On October 6th of every year, people put on their craziest hats in honor of Mad Hatter Day. The day October 6th was chosen because the “Hatter” had a label marked 10/6 on his top hat.

Mad Hatter Day was first celebrated in 1986 by a group of computer technicians in Boulder, Colorado.

The “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”-inspired holiday is a day to put your top hat on and bring your silliness out. There are other silly things that have been invented besides Mad Hatter Day.

ENTITY shares 10 of the silliest things ever invented.

If you want to keep your gums healthy and enjoy your favorite breakfast item, then bacon floss is for you. The product claims that it will keep your breath “bacon fresh.” Many customers use it as a gag gift, but those who actually use it say the product can be improved.

I purchased it for 3 guys’ Christmas stockings, they got a laugh out of it so I hope they actually use it. The youngest one, an 11-year-old, said a picture of bacon would have been tastier. It does smells bacony but it doesn’t have much taste…”

Exercising is not everybody’s favorite pastime. It is necessary though, and for people who watch infomercials, the shake weight was the right choice for them. The shake weight is self-explanatory — it’s a weight that you shake.

Does it really work though?

According to experts, it doesn’t. In order to fully stimulate your muscle, resistance needs to be applied through a “full range of motion.” No pain no gain.
