Remember Michelle Tanner? Yup, that's them.
Did anyone else want to be Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen while growing up? I did.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been in the spotlight since they were in diapers. Everyone knows of Mary-Kate and Ashley as the twin sisters who played Michelle Tanner on “Full House.”
In addition, it seems as though the sisters have done everything together. Today, ENTITY will be sharing five facts about the Olsen sisters.
Mary-Kate and Ashley’s most iconic role is probably playing Michelle Tanner on “Full House.” They were cast when they were six months old, and began to film at nine months old.
Because of child labor laws, the sisters took turns playing the role. Both Mary-Kate and Ashley continued to do this until the show ended in 1995.
In 1993, Mary-Kate and Ashley established their company Dualstar. Their company went on to produce their films which they starred in after “Full House,” such as “Double, Double, Toil and Trouble” and “How the West Was Fun.”
When they turned 18 in 2004, they became co-presidents of the company. In addition, they went on to act in 10 different movies together.
In 2004, Mary-Kate and Ashley had a clothing line in Walmart called “Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls.” They sold cute clothing for young girls like skirts and leggings. A lot of the clothing in that line resembled their fashion at the time.
However, as time passed their styles changed. In 2007, they launched Elizabeth & James. This brand was inspired by their personal wardrobes.
In 2004 they became the first set of twins to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That’s pretty cool. Like, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alone sounds so pretty awesome, but having one with your sibling… sign me up.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen released a non-fiction book in 2008 titled “Influence.” “Influence” includes interviews with big names in the fashion world, like Christian Louboutin. In addition, the book also includes what their influence has been in the fashion and style industry.
It has definitely been a wild ride for the Olsen twins, but ENTITY is happy to see that they continue to be #womenthatdo in every aspect of their lives.
Moreover, there is nothing like a sisterly bond, and these two sure have a strong one.
