You'd be surprised at how much this rapper is worth.
Robert Rihmeek (aka Meek Mill) is a self-proclaimed baller who likes to flash his stacks whenever he gets the chance.
Surprisingly, Meek Mill’s net worth adds up to only $3 million. This may not sound like a lot when compared to other rappers like Drake, but considering where he came from, it’s a complete 180.
So how did Meek Mill go from rapping on the street to becoming a household name? Here’s what we found out.
During his teen years, Meek Mill, otherwise known as Robert Rihmeek, started out as a battle rapper. He eventually formed a short-lived rap group with his friends called the Blood Houndz. The group released four mix tapes together, which generated a moderate local following in Philadelphia.
Meek Mill’s talent was eventually recognized by various record labels. However, there was one recruiter that stuck out, the Atlanta-based rapper T.I. Soon after T.I. found him, Meek Mill signed his first record deal with the Atlanta label Grand Hustle Records (GHR) in 2008.
Later, he left GHR to pursue a contract with Rick Ross’s label, Maybach Music Group (MMG), which was based out of Miami, FL. Mill’s first album “Dreams and Nightmares” was released in 2012 with the help of Warner Bros. Records and MMG. The single “Young and Gettin It” made it to no. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 100. The album sold 150,000 copies in the first week.
Then in 2012, Meek Mill launched his own label, Dream Chase Records, but he still appears on MMG’s singles, “Ima Boss” and “Tupac Back.” Under the new title of Dream Records, Mill released the album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” in March 2014. This album actually had more Billboard success than any mixtape Mill previously released.
Then in May 2016, Meek Mill released the mixtape “Dreamchasers 4,” which featured Lil Uzi, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage. His newest studio album, “Wins and Losses,” was released on July 21, 2017.
For a rapper, Meek Mill’s net worth of $3 million may not sound like much. However, for starting off as a battle rapper on the streets of Philly, he has done quite well for himself.
Cars are a common splurge item for this battle rapper. As a matter of fact, Meek Mill has eight pricey whips and counting.
Meek Mill owns:
Not bad.
But his fancy cars aren’t his only form of transportation. He’s also got his own private jet.
And he also loves to show it off as often as humanly possible.
In late 2016, he leased a nine-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills with on-and-off girlfriend Nicki Minaj for $30K a month. Some of the amenities of the house include a five-car garage and a pool with a spa.
However, since the couple split up in early 2017, it is unclear where Mill is currently residing, given the fact that the mansion is in Minaj’s name.
Since the rapper’s split from Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill has been frequenting yacht parties like it’s his job. And of course, in order to look good at these parties, you’ve got to have the bling. Meek Mill owns an engraved gold and diamond chain worth $540K.
But if the yacht parties aren’t enough, he heads to the clubs. He reportedly dropped $20K in one night at a strip club.
This all may seem a bit much when Meek Mill’s net worth is around $3 million. But Meek Mill is living lavishly and he doesn’t seem to mind it one bit.
