IMDb’s list of most popular Hollywood stars is showing us that girls really do run the world.

The popular movie star information site bases its annual rankings on page views, and this year the top 10 list is female-heavy. From “Suicide Squad’s” Margot Robbie to “The Girl on the Train’s” Haley Bennett, women take eight of the 10 spots in 2016. Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio were the only two male actors on the list this year, with DiCaprio ranking in 10th place.

“These actresses are portraying remarkable female characters at the center of movie action this year, often protagonists in genres where women just didn’t excel before: action, comic books and sci-fi,” says Keith Simanton, IMDb’s senior film editor.

While Margot Robbie tops the 2016 list, Millie Bobby Brown from Netflix’s hit show “Stranger Things,” joins the popular crowd at just 12-years-old.

Thanks to Brown’s massively successful role as Eleven, 2016 was a big year for the rising star. The young actress may have been third on IMDb’s most popular stars list, but she stole the number one spot in IMDb’s list of breakout stars of 2016.

Here are the leading ladies who became the top five women on IMDb’s 2016 list.

She ranked third on IMDb’s list in 2014 and 2015. But then in 2016, Robbie starred as Jane Clayton in “The Legend of Tarzan” and as Harley Quinn in “Suicide Squad.” Critics raved about Robbie’s awesome portrayal of Harley Quinn’s babydoll mannerisms and fierce character. Plus her character inspired the year’s most popular Halloween costume. “People just got it,” Simanton says. “It’s such a unique role and look, and Robbie was perfect casting.”
