1 Olivia Wilde is not Olivia Wilde?

ENTITY reports on Olivia Wilde.

Olivia Wilde was born on March 10, 1984 in New York City. But Wilde’s birth name is  actually Olivia Jane Cockburn.

Why the name change? Well, Olivia took her stage name, “Wilde,” from her favorite Irish author, Oscar Wilde.

Wilde also comes from a family of very successful journalists. Her name change was also a way to honor the writers in her family, who also use pen names.

She took her new name and moved to Los Angeles at age 18, where she landed a number of roles in television series. Wilde started off as an assistant producer before she was cast in the short-lived FOX television series “Skin” (2003).

But it wasn’t until Wilde was cast in her first Hollywood debut film, “The Girl Next Door” (2004), when she was recognized by various Hollywood producers.

2 She’s an environmental activist.

After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Olivia Wilde became very passionate about helping those who were affected by the tragic event.

She became a board member of Artists for Peace and Justice, which provides education and health care services to the people of Haiti.

Olivia Wilde has also served as executive producer on many documentaries involving the event in Haiti. The documentaries include, “Sun City Picture House” (2010), which is about a community in Haiti coming together to build a movie theater after the 2010 earthquake, and “Baseball in the Time of Cholera” (2012), which explored the infectious disease in Haiti.

3 Olivia Wilde had a secret marriage.

ENTITY reports on Olivia Wilde.

At just 19 years old, Olivia Wilde embarked on a  journey most 19-year-olds don’t take. Marriage.

Wilde secretly married Tao Ruspoli, an Italian filmmaker and musician. The couple tied the knot inside an abandoned school bus, but after eight years of marriage, Wilde and Tao went their separate ways.

Wilde says marrying Tao at such a young age taught her a lot about herself.

She told Marie Claire, “I had grown up with Tao, we had just drifted. I felt I had something to prove. If you fall off a horse, you get back up. I am not a quitter. I hung on for as long as possible, until it was more hurtful to stay. I’m so grateful for the pain and the heartbreak. It gave me the courage to leave and brought me to the great love of my life.”

4 It’s okay though because she married Jason Sudeikis.

Nine months after her divorce from Tao Ruspoli, Olivia began dating Jason Sudeikis.

Olivia met comedian and actor Jason Sudeikis at a “Saturday Night Live” after-party. The couple got engaged in 2013 and now have two beautiful children. But why haven’t they gotten married yet?

Jason Sudeikis appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” and revealed something very interesting about their engagement. He said, “I mean, I believe we won’t get married until weed is legal in every state.”

We didn’t see that coming, but good for them.

5 She’s best Friends with George Clooney?

ENTITY reports on Olivia Wilde.

Not quite. But as a teen, Olivia joined George Clooney for lunch on the set of 1997’s “The Peacemaker.” The screenplay was written by her parents.

Wilde said in an interview with Town & Country, “Having George Clooney be the first Hollywood actor I met set a pretty high standard. He’s genuinely sincere, smart, gracious and I like his politics, too, which always helps.”

She may not be best friends with George Clooney, but at least she’s met him. Which is more than we can say.
