ENTITY reports on the best period tracker apps.

How dope would it be if you knew when you period was coming and how long it was going to last?

There are a bunch of period tracker apps that track your menstrual cycle and your fertility so you don’t have to wait around for the surprise visit.

Believe it or not, technology has advanced to where we can track that time of the month right on our cell phones. Crazy, right?

ENTITY has compiled a period tracker list of the best technology used to track the time you’ll experience your next menstrual cycle.

1 Touchable Period Cycle

The most simple and clear-cut on the list goes to the touchable period cycle. We love this app because it is simple yet informative, which is exactly what we’re looking for when we’re about to be tired, aching and cramping.

What’s the point if there’s so much going on that we don’t understand how to use it?

2 Menstrual Period Tracker and Ovulation Calendar

This app can track your menstrual cycle, ovulation days and even your symptoms. The best thing about this app is that you can switch between your Apple Watch and iPhone and all of your information will stay consistent.

3 Period Tracker – Menstrual Calendar

This is one of the cuter apps with eye-catching pastel colors and flowers. It’s definitely nice seeing something so lively during that time of month.

This app is also great if you have irregular periods, or you’re trying to conceive, which not a lot of period tracking apps focus on.

4 Birth Control Reminder

This app not only tracks your period but also reminds you to take your birth control. The best thing is that you can customize it to the specific pill or ring you use.

5 Period Tracker: PMS & Ovulation Calendar

The PMS & Ovulation Calendar keeps tabs on your temperature, mood, physical and sexual activity. The app also connects to your Health app on your iPhone so it can take into account your sleep schedule and other health factors.

6 Virtual Nurse – Birth Control

Here’s one of the best period tracker apps that you may want to splurge on after you check out the free trial download.

This app, developed by Harvard students, has a virtual nurse, Alice, who can answer any questions you have relating to sexual health. And the best part about Nurse Alice is that she doesn’t use any needles to treat you.

7 Aunt Flo

Our number one favorite period tracker app is this minimalists dream come true. The Aunt Flo app is sleek with very little clutter and no annoying pop-up ads. You get notifications sent to your phone before your period, the day your period starts and when you start ovulating so you don’t have to keep checking back on the app.

The app isn’t free ($1.99) but a portion of the price goes to women in need of feminine hygiene products. We at ENTITY love supporting women, especially women in need so $2 isn’t a deal breaker.

Our time of the month is already such a struggle to deal with, so if there is a way we can make our life somewhat easier, best believe we’re on it.

Check out these apps and see which one works best for you. Hopefully being in the know will help you not to dread the worst week of the month so much.
