Taylor Swift might not be performing on tonight’s Country Music Awards but her influence will be felt when country band Little Big Town take the stage.
Swift confirmed via Instagram that she is the writer of their break up song “Better Man,” which is trending as fans speculate who the queen of break up songs may have written this one about.
Without any singles or album releases since her splits from Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston, fans and foes alike are suspecting they may serve as the inspiration behind Swift’s song which features lyrics like “But your jealousy, I can hear it now … You’re talking down to me like I’ll always be around.”

Taylor’s debut album brought us the romantic “Our Song,” but also the tear-jerker “Teardrops on my Guitar.” The song chronicles her unrequited love with an unknown guy friend, likely sparking her string of using breakups as material for her music.
“Because he’s the reason for the teardrops on my guitar,” Swift sings. “The only one who’s got enough of me to break my heart.”
“Forever and Always” is widely known as her ode to ex-beau Joe Jonas. The actor broke up with her on a 27 second phone call, she told Ellen Degeneres.
“And I stare at the phone, he still hasn’t called,” Swift sings. “And then you feel so low you can’t feel nothing at all.”
As one of the only hits with a name in the title (aside from upbeat “Hey Steven”), “Dear John” is almost undeniably about her ex-lover and musician John Mayer, Rolling Stone reports.
“Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone,” Swift sings. “Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with?”
Who is Taylor Swift never ever getting back together with? Huffington Post suspects the guy who she won’t be seeing again is ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
“I’m really gonna miss you picking fights,” Swift sings. “And you would hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that’s much cooler than mine.”
Instead of one specific muse, Swift’s recent smash hit “Blank Space” hints at her slew of public relationships the media has criticized. Her character in the video – with running mascara and a nasty temper – plays up this stigmatized persona.
“Got a long list of ex-lovers,” Swift sings. “They’ll tell you I’m insane. But I’ve got a blank space baby and I’ll write your name.”
