You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream – am I right?

Few things are more satisfying than enjoying a cold ice cream cone. Whether it’s 35 degrees outside or 103 degrees, ice cream just doesn’t disappoint. One second you have three scoops on a waffle cone, and the next it’s gone!

However, not all ice cream flavors are made alike.

A number of people are opting for dairy-free alternatives, so we wanted to make sure you had access to the best ones. Whether you’re doing it for dietary reasons or because you’re an animal rights activist, here are some vegan ice cream brands that will make your mouth water.

1 Ben & Jerry’s

Back in 2014, there was a Change.org petition asking Ben & Jerry’s to produce vegan ice cream. Two and a half years later, the iconic ice cream brothers released two vegan flavors. Today, there are nine total vegan options and we’re loving it. Keep ’em coming!

Talenti is named after Bernardo Buontalenti, the individual credited with inventing gelato. The company offers ice cream, sorbets and sorbettos. Because sorbets and ice cream are typically made with dairy, sorbettos are a vegan’s best friend. Sorbettos are non-dairy treats and are primarily water based.

What’s the dairy alternative? Water-Based for Vegan Sorbettos

What are the flavors? Alphonso Mango, Chocolate, Roman Raspberry, Peanut Butter Fudge, Cold Brew Coffee

Which should you try first? Peanut Butter Fudge

And while Talenti does have another dairy-free flavor, Blood Orange Sorbetto, it’s not vegan since it’s made with egg whites.
