Entity shares seven weird movies on Netflix that will blow your mind.

As much as we love watching our favorite shows on Netflix, sometimes we want to create a movie night no one will forget. If that’s the case, then one of these weird movies on Netflix is exactly the entertainment you’re looking for.

Featuring plotlines ranging from a vampire dishing out street justice to a Spanish version of Snow White to teens with supernatural powers, these seven movies might not be award-winning. One fact is certain, though: these are some of the most trippy movies on Netflix!

1 “The Fury”: teens with superpowers vs. the government.

If you want to enjoy a weird movie that feels like a trip back in time, check out the 1978 sci-fi film, “The Fury.” Its plot line revolves around a group of teenagers with superpowers. The problem? They are tracked down and taken in by the government. Now, a girl named Gillian – who just happens to have telekinesis – must track down the missing teens. Brian De Palma, who also directed 1976 horror hit “Carrie,” was the mind behind “The Fury,” which could explain why it

2 “The Overnight”: the “what did I just watch?” movie.

On the plus side, “The Overnight” features Adam Scott. On the negative side, you never know what to expect once you hit “play.” This comedy focuses on a family who just moved to Los Angeles. Desperate to make new friends, the parents accept another couple’s invitation to join family pizza night. After the kids go to bed, this film just gets weirder and weirder. Don’t watch this if you’re looking for some true cinematic swagger. But if you want to brag about watching one of the most weird movies on Netflix? Well, this is a safe bet.

3 “Felt”: prepare to feel scared.

Who says that weird movies can’t also scare your socks off? This short film follows a woman named Amy who develops an alter ego to deal with the unnamed trauma. From naked body suits – Amy likes to wear one complete with a lifelike penis and scrotum – to the disturbing art in Amy’s bedroom, “Felt” is full of uncomfortable surprises. The movie doesn’t seem to follow much of a plot line; however, reviewers claim that “Felt” is much deeper and more substantial than you might initially think.

4 “Blancanieves”: Snow White in black and white.

Craving a good fairytale but with a twist? Look no further than “Blancanieves.” This film is a Spanish, black-and-white and silent version of the traditional “Snow White” movie you might have grown up with. It also features Spanish flair, including a bullfighting scene and a mischievous rooster named “Pepe.” Reviewers claim that the film isn’t as haunting or intense as some black-and-white movies. However, this definitely makes our list as one of the weird movies of Netflix!

5 “Zombeavers”: if beavers already scare you, this will leave you terrified.

You might think that you’ve heard of every zombie plot known to man. However, if you haven’t watched this weird move on Netflix, your zombie bucket list is still one check short. To put it simply, “Zombeavers” is about just that: zombie beavers. A toxic waste spill turns a swamp into a battlefield as a group of teenagers fight to survive a horde of zombie beavers. Not a great movie if you’re looking for intellectual depth. One of the best trippy movies on Netflix if you’re craving a horror-comedy about zombies coming back from the dead.

6 “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night”: proof that vampires can kick some major butt.

Sure, you may hear the word “vampire” and expect another shallow horror movie. However, “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” is anything but. Its main character is a hijab-wearing vampire who preys on cat-callers and rapists. This Iranian film is shot in black-and-white and earned an impressive 95% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes. “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” probably isn’t your usual cup of tea, but this movie is definitely worth a watch when you want a different kind of movie night.

7 “The Scribbler”: to get in touch with your worst nightmares.

What if you were a murderer – but you didn’t know it? “The Scribbler” follows a woman named Suki who has multiple personalities. She’s living in an apartment building for psychiatric patients. The problem? All her neighbors keep dying, allegedly by jumping to their deaths. As you keep watching, you won’t know what to expect next…but superpowers and insanity aren’t out of the running. If you want a weird movie that could actually make you think, “The Scribbler” might be your winning choice.
