Entity shares The Sandlot cast.

Ever been the new kid in town? Played baseball? Met your best friends during adventures in the sandlot? If you answered yes to all three, you’re probably one of the cast members of “The Sandlot”…or you’re one of the movie’s many avid fans. Although released in 1993, “The Sandlot” boasts plenty of cinematic charm. Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, you’ll enjoy our favorite five scenes from the movie…and learning where “The Sandlot” stars are today!

Tom Guiry (Scott Smalls)

After the “Sandlot,” Tom Guiry kept acting. Out of the 37 movie and TV roles listed on IMDB, you might recognize titles like “Lassie,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Law & Order,” and “The Black Donnelleys.”  Unfortunately, you probably also know Tom Guiry for his 2013 arrest. According to TMZ, Guiry was deemed too drunk to board an airplane before allegedly threatening and trying to kick a police officer. Not his most shining moment.

Mike Vitar (Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez)

As an actor, Mike Vitar jumped from baseball to hocky when he starred in the sports movies, “The Mighty Ducks” in 1994 and 1996. IMDB also reports that he also guest starred in several TV series as a teenager. Since 2002, though, he’s worked as a firefighter in Hollywood. And fans thought he couldn’t get any hotter…

Chauncey Leopardi (Michael “Squints” Palledorous)

Leopardi acted extensively in the 90s from films like “Casper the Friendly Ghost” in 1995 and “The Opposite Sex” in 1998 to the hit series “Freaks and Geeks” from 1999 to 2000. As Film Reference lists, Leopardi also made several guest appearances in shows like “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Gilmore Girls.” Right now, though, he doesn’t appear to have any ongoing projects.

Marley Shelton (Lifeguard Wendy Peffercorn)

According to Hollywood.com, Shelton’s career took off after “The Sandlot.” Films that she has been featured in include “Nixon,” “Uptown Girls,” “Sin City,” “Planet Terror” and “Scream 4.” You might have recently recognized her guest starring in an episode of “Mad Men” or playing the lead role in the cancelled Lifetime show, “The Lottery.”

Patrick Renna (Hamilton “Ham” Porter)

Patrick Renna is another “Sandlot” star who’s been busy hitting home runs with his acting career. Besides appearing in Disney’s “The Big Green” at age 16, IMDB reports that he’s had roles in films like “Sun in Law,” “Dark Ride” and “Dorm Daze” as well as in shows like “The X-Files” and “Boston Legal.” Most recently, he appeared in TV movie “Lavantula” and as a guest star on “Bones.”

Brandon Quentin Adams (Kenny DeNunez)

While he certainly showed his acting chops in films like “The Mighty Ducks,” “Moonwalker” and “People Under the Stars” – not to mention sitcoms like “A Different World” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” – Brandon Adams is going a new direction these days. As he told The Examiner, he is now experimenting with a rapping career under the name B. Lee.

Grant Gelt (Bertram Grover Weeks)

According to Hollywood.com, Grant Gelt has also made a career change: bow he works behind the scenes in the music industry. He is the artist manager for several bands, including the Black Rebel Motorcyle Club.

Victor DiMattia (Timmy Tommons)

Not a lot of information is out there on DiMattia but Hollywood.com states that he moved behind the scenes like Gelt. While few details are given, DiMattia apparently works as a writer/editor/director/production assistant (can you say a man of many talents?) for several short films and projects.

Shane Obedzinski (Tommy “Repeat” Timmons)

While Obedzinski told TampaBay.com that he still loves “The Sandlot,” he has a different career now as a successful pizzeria owner. Along with his business partner, Charlie Jonathan, Obedzinski has opened over 30 different restaurants. While they originally experimented with a variety of types – from bars to catering companies – they eventually settled on New York Times Square Pizza. While he’s happy with business and has plans to expand the pizzeria, Obedzinski does mention that he wouldn’t mind tackling a few new acting roles as well.

Marty York (Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan)

Not to end on a low note, but you probably aren’t saying, “Yeah!” to Marty York anymore. Though he appeared in a few episodes of Boy Meets World, he’s more well known for being arrested for changes of domestic abuse in 2009. As Hollywood.com explains, he then asked “The Sandlot” fans to help cover his legal fees. As if that’s not bad enough, TMZ reported in 2012 that a hotel housekeeper discovered Mary York unconscious. After being unable to wake him up, she thought he was dead. Not to worry, though. He was just dead drunk.
