Who is Anneliese Van Der Pol?

Anneliese Van Der Pol aka Chelsea Daniels is the best friend we all wanted growing up.

We can all remember her as Raven Baxter’s partner in crime. Although she’s only acted sporadically since “That’s So Raven,” this July you can expect to see her back on television — which is definitely exciting.

So here are five facts about Anneliese Van Der Pol to get you ready for her return to the Disney Channel.

1 The Southern California Gal

Anneliese was born in Naaldwijjk, Netherlands in 1984. Although she was born in the Netherlands she did her schooling in the United States of America. Moreover, she has both an American and Dutch citizenship.

Which to be honest, is pretty cool. She attended school in Bellflower, California. Later on, Anneliese transferred schools and graduated from Orange County High School of the Arts.

2 She’s Coming Back.

In 2001 Anneliese was cast as Chelsea Daniels on “That’s So Raven.” She was the partner in crime of the titular character, Raven Baxters, played by Raven-Symone. “That’s So Raven” ran from 2003-2007.

We can all admit that it was one of the best shows on the Disney Channel at that time. (Also, side note: can we please bring back old Disney like the “Lizzie McGuire” show?) Anyway, the day has come for Anneliese to reprise her role as Chelsea Daniels in the sequel to “That’s So Raven.”

This July she will be back on the small screen with Raven-Symone as a divorced mom living with her best friend.

3 She Was A Guest On Different Disney Shows.

Although we loved Anneliese on “That’s So Raven,” that wasn’t the only Disney show she acted on. Back in the day she guest-starred on “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” as herself.

Also, she was on the best show that Disney ever had, aka the yearly “Disney Games.” Those were the best. Moreover, she also voiced the role of Heather on “Kim Possible.”

4 She’s Acted On Broadway.

For those of you out there who didn’t know, Anneliese has been acting on stage since 1999. She first played Sandy from “Grease” at the Huntington Beach Playhouse. She later on went on to act on the big stage.

In 2007 she went on to debut as the final Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” that Broadway would see. Then in 2008, she played Karen from “Vanities, A New Musical” which went on to premiere Off-Broadway.

5 Social Media, What?

Our dear Anneliese isn’t on all social media platforms. If you’re trying to catch a glimpse of her life through an Instagram shot or a Facebook post, that most likely won’t happen.

However, she is active on Twitter. You’ll most likely find her chatting up a storm with excited fans about the “That’s So Raven” sequel.
