While secrecy is at a premium on the set, ENTITY has your first details on the eagerly awaited film, which comes out in 2018.

“It’s really so much fun being a part of. I’m happy that it has so many amazing women in it,” says Katie Holmes, who, like Vogue chief Anna Wintour, plays herself in the movie.

Now we reveal the eight women who play the fictional thieves at the center of the movie’s crime caper plot.

1 Sandra Bullock

She plays the con-artist sister of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean character from the original film, who assembles a team of female thieves to steal a priceless necklace from the Met Ball in New York. Clooney is a producer on this version and is rumored to make a cameo appearance.  He and Bullock previously starred together in “Gravity.”

2 Cate Blanchett

She plays the long time partner in crime of Bullock’s character and, busy as ever, Blanchett  has been combining filming scenes for the movie in New York by day with working on her Broadway play, “The Present” at night.  Meanwhile the moviemakers have been busy denying media reports of a feud on the set between Cate and one of her co-stars, Anne Hathaway.

The pop star sports massive dreadlocks in her latest, and biggest, movie role to date. But while her look in the film is known, the nature of her character remains shrouded in secrecy. For the paparazzi staking out the star-studded set, it’s the singer’s photo they want more than any other. Co-star Mindy Kaling has joked in interviews that she feels “invisible” to the photographers whenever Rihanna is around.

4 Anne Hathaway

5 Helena Bonham Carter

While she may be the only Brit among the eight stars playing the crooks, Helena isn’t the only Brit on the set. Damian Lewis from “Homeland” and “Billions” plays the movie’s villain and another compatriot, James Corden, takes a break from his talk show to return to acting with a role as an insurance investigator who becomes suspicious of Helena’s character and her pals.

6 Sarah Paulson

The best part of this job for the recent Golden Globe winner is getting to work with her pop idol Rihanna – Paulson can’t keep herself from humming Rihanna’s songs whenever she is around the singer. Sandra Bullock even had to give her  friendly warnings to stop it. On NBC’s “Late Night,” Sarah revealed, “A couple times Sandy Bullock gave me the side eye. I’m like, ‘Diamonds – sorry!’ Every time I see her, it starts. It’s bad. It’s bad! It’s not good.”

7 Mindy Kaling

The sitcom star brings a lot of comedy to the film and has been joking about her experiences making it in interviews. “With that group of women, I’ve never felt so unfamous in my life,” she said on NBC’s “Late Night” talk show. “Like, I thought I was pretty cool. I have my own show. [But] people think I’m Sandra Bullock’s assistant and they’re like, ‘Get out of the way! We need to bring Sandra her matcha tea.’ I’m like, ‘I’m in a scene with her. I’m not her assistant.’ Then I’m like, ‘OK! Whatever. I’ll give her her matcha tea. Might as well.'”

8 Awkwafina

The rapper, actress, comedienne and TV host, whose real name is Nora Lum, was last on the big screen in 2016 comedy “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” but gets her biggest break yet as part of this stellar ensemble. Having grown up in New York she is on her home turf filming the movie in the Big Apple.

Despite all the female talent on screen, it is a man who is directing the picture. But Gary Ross knows how to deliver female-driven movies. His credits include “The Hunger Games” starring Jennifer Lawrence. Efforts were made to cast Lawrence in “Ocean’s Eight” but she wasn’t available.

However, even without her, this is still one of the greatest movie casts ever assembled. The film doesn’t get released until summer 2018 but it looks well worth the wait.
