Zendaya is making that money y'all.
At the age of 20, Zendaya Coleman already has an estimated net worth of $4.5 million.
Her career began as a teenager and she’s been going full speed ever since.
Here is a breakdown of how this young star acquired her wealth and how she puts it to use.
It’s not surprising that the stunning actress caught the eyes of modeling agencies early on. When Zendaya was a young teen, she modeled for well-known corporations such as Old Navy, Sears and Macy’s. Outside of those big brands, she also modeled a number of iCarly products.
More recently, though, you can catch Zendaya in ads for Dolce & Gabbana and CoverGirl. And if you pick up Vogue’s July 2017 issue, you’ll see her on there, too.
Zendaya’s stardom began in 2010 when she played Rocky Blue in the Disney TV series “Shake It Up.” The series attracted six million viewers when it first hit the scene. The show’s three-year run has earned the star roughly $140,000. She won several awards for her role in the show, including the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance in a Children’s Program.
In 2012, Zendaya earned $284,000 for starring in the Disney movie “Frenemies.” This was the star’s first experience in film, but it was certainly not the last. In 2014, she played Zoey Stevens in the Disney film “Zapped,” which reportedly earned the actress $162,338. Additionally, she made $126,263 for starring in the Disney show “PrankStars.”
Then in 2013, she expanded her acting career to include animated movies. She did the voiceover work for the character Lollipop in the film “Super Buddies,” which earned her $216,450. Two years later, Zendaya scored a leading role in the Disney sitcom “K.C. Undercover.” The show is currently still on air, but she has earned roughly $400,000 for the first two seasons.
She showcased her killer moves on one of America’s favorite dance competitions. At the age of 16, Zendaya was a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2013 and won second place. Reportedly, she earned roughly $345,000 for her run on the show.
And outside of reality TV, Zendaya’s music video for the song “Dig Down Deeper” was shown in the “Pixie Hollow Games.” This scored the singer nearly $350,000.
In 2013, she released her first solo record, “Zendaya,” which landed the no. 21 spot on the Top 200 Billboard and sold 7,000 copies the first week of its release. The album can be classified as electro-pop with some R&B and dubstep elements mixed in.
Out of the 11 songs on the record, the single “Replay” hit number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although there are no estimates for how much she earned for “Zendaya,” we can only assume it was a good amount of cash due to its popularity.
Outside of the music industry, she also wrote the book, “Between You and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years,” which was inspired by questions she received on her heavily followed social media accounts.
Also, Zendaya is trying to push the envelope as an entrepreneur. She’s launched a trendy clothing line that can be found on her website. Additionally, the website includes beauty tips, life advice and Q&A from the budding star. She also has an app that followers can buy if they need more Zendaya in their lives.
Zendaya plays Michelle in the new movie “Spider-Man Homecoming,” which was released on July 7, 2017. Additionally, she will be starring alongside Zac Efron in “The Greatest Showman.” This will hit the theaters on Christmas of 2017.
To make a long story short, Zendaya has made significant strides in the entertainment and fashion industry at such a young age. She is known for her starring roles on Disney Channel, but she is definitely going beyond that.
As she breaks out into more serious acting roles and bigger projects, we’re excited to see how Zendaya increases her net worth.
