Entity reports on Cara Delevigne and her battle with depression.

Model, actor, and musical artist are all a part of the fabulous life of Cara Delevigne, but one piece that she just revealed to her fans was something no one really expected, her struggle with depression. Cara went to twitter to open up about her struggle with depression. She stated that she wanted to spend her time focusing on music and acting, and not modeling.

People were quick to assume that modeling was the source of her issues. Then more confusion was brought about when the model was announced as the face of a campaign for Saint Laurent after her hiatus from modeling. She was very quick to shoot down these rumors tweeting, “Can we just set the record straight…I never said I was quitting modeling. I do not blame the fashion industry for anything. I suffer from depression and was a model during a particularly rough patch of self hatred.”

She continued on to talk about how she used to using modeling as an escape from her issues but would just end up “completely exhausting myself.” Ending her twitter essay with, “I am focusing on filming and trying to learn how to not pick apart my every flaw. I am really good at that”

After her remarks on the social media platform, thousands of people retweeted her words and were there to offer some support. Many fans wrote back to the young starlet that her openness about her struggles has helped them to confront their issues.

Cara will be in the new film Suicide Squad and her fans are very excited to see her in another movie after the success of Paper Towns. It seems like whatever this fresh fashion icon is attached to turns to gold. Keep doing you girl!
