Our Mentees

When we launched in 2016, staffing ENTITY was a huge challenge, because we realized that to connect with Women That Do, we needed to hire a combination of Women That Do and Women That Aspire To Do.

We received hundreds and hundreds of applications…noteworthy for a startup site that would not be live for at least another six months. From there, we began what is now known as ENTITY Academy.  Writing skill was by no means the deciding factor in determining who gets hired.  It was a combination of resume credentials, work experience, leisurely pursuits, and live interview performance.

Below are the results of our search. The ENTITY Academy is a very diverse, highly educated, and independent thinking group of hundreds of women – many of whom relocated from across the country to join us in Los Angeles. These women hail from a diverse array of racial, geographic, educational, and socioeconomic origins. Coincidentally, it was interesting to note that our team mirrored the ethnic breakout of the most recently published U.S. Census. Some of our women come from working-class backgrounds and attended state universities, while others could be called privileged and went to elite schools. Thus it was particularly heartwarming to see how they bonded, gelled as a team, and respected our company rule of “no cliques, no office politics, no gossip.”  We support each other personally and professionally and are all dedicated to producing the best site for #WomenThatDo.

Please look over our team member bios and if you are intrigued at all, read some of their dispatches. We hope this will be the first of many visits to ENTITY Magazine. Again, welcome!
