Entity lists 7 famous fashion streets around the world.

“Get in loser. We’re going shopping.” The “Mean Girls” were right; there’s nothing better than grabbing a few friends for an afternoon of shopping, especially as the holiday season rolls around.

So where are the best places to stock up on gifts (while also finding time to #treatyoself)? We love streets like Rodeo Drive which features exclusive stores like Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. But if you don’t find yourself in Los Angeles anytime soon, there are other fashion streets you can visit. Let’s have a look at some of our favorites.

1 PC Hooftstraat, Amsterdam

This street is situated in an area called Old South, Amsterdam, where people with ‘old money’ used to live (and still do). Named after a famous Dutch historian, these streets feature exclusive Dutch couture and high-end stores like Dior, Hermès, Montblanc, Prada and Cartier.

2 Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Paris

The Champs-Élysées is probably the most famous street in the romantic city of Paris. The street has more to offer than just high-class shops, however. After visiting the Arc de Triomphe at the end of the Avenue, you can find affordable stores like MAC and Zara. If you’re ready to fall in love with a dreamy wardrobe, Paris is the place to go.

3 Wangfujing Steet, Beijing

This street (which means ‘Princely Place’) is a great place to visit, even if you prefer window shopping. Located in the Dongcheng district, Wangfujing Street is filled with both tourists and locals. Since 2000 the street has become exclusively accessible to pedestrians (and the tour trolley), so you can walk around freely while making your purchases.

4 The Strand Arcade, Sydney

Located in the heart of ‘The Harbour City,’ the Strand Arcade is named after the famous shopping street of 19th century London. Featuring exclusive Australian stores like Alex Perry, Manning Cartell, Dion Lee, Jac+ Jack, Scanlan Theodore, Aje, Megan Park and Skin and Threds, the Strand Arcade is the perfect place to dream away in the midst of beautiful couture.

5 Long Street, Cape Town

Forget Gucci – at Long Street you will find big South African names like SKA and WAG that offer clothes well-known to Cape Town residents. The shops along this street cater perfectly to the city’s unique bohemian, vintage style.

6 Madison Avenue, New York

Remember to bring your credit card when you visit this fashion-forward street in New York City. Here, the “Sex and the City” ladies got all their beautiful Jimmy Choo shoes. Everything about NYC will make you feel like you need to dress up … and what better place to do that than Madison Avenue?

7 Via Monte Napoleone, Milan

Finally, here is a famous street build on the city of fashion: Milan, Italy. Many well-known fashion designers have shops here featuring stunning new items. Besides that, you can also find all your favorite Italian designers like Versace and Valentino.
