Women are killing it in the world of fashion. Thanks to very famous female entrepreneurs in the roles of designers, CEOs and founders, women are able to express themselves. From clothes to jewelry and staple pieces, female entrepreneurs have given women something to show off and talk about.

Here are five women who’ve made it to the top in their careers, influencing others to embrace their own sense of style.

 

1 Francesca Amfitheatrof Designer Director of Tiffany and Co.

It’s no surprise that Francesca Amfitheatrof was appointed Designer Director of Tiffany & Co. from 2013-2017 with her impressive fashion history. She used to work for Chanel, Fendi and Alice Temperley. She designed the hardware for handbags, belts and shoes. One design after another, Amfitheatrof spearheaded the Tiffany T collection, where she built more conversion in Tiffany & Co stores. She comprised unique pieces that had Tiffany jewelry buyers in love.

 

2 Jin Sook Chang Cofounder of Forever 21

Forever 21 used to be called Fashion 21. It might be a little hard to believe, considering the name Forever 21 is what we’re all used to. Founded in Downtown LA in 1984, by a Korean husband and wife, Do Won Chang and Jin Sook Chang, who was a hairdresser at the time. Their first store opened in Highland Park, where it produced approximately $700,00 in the first year of business. Sook Chang continued to approve the different designs of the company’s merchandise. Her husband has focused on the chain of the business. Now, they have more than over 800 stores across 48 countries, selling affordable and trendy clothes.

3 Sophia Amoruso Founder and CEO of Nasty Gal

Sophia Amoruso created one of the fastest growing e-commerce sites around the world from her aunt’s basement. She launched her career with a passion for clothes and a keen eye for vintage.

At age 22, she started selling vintage clothing with an online eBay store named “Nasty Gal Vintage.” By 2008, the name, Nasty Gal, was adopted. Her style was retro, sexy and original. Not much has changed.

Amoruso’s recent book, “#GIRLBOSS,” became a New York Times best seller. It tells her story of how she got started in the industry. In 2017, Netflix turned it into a popular series named Girlboss.

 

4 Kate Moss Topshop Collaborator

In 2007, supermodel and style icon Kate Moss collaborated and launched her first collection with Topshop. The British multinational fashion retailer has continued to attract young women with their retro, trendy and risqué clothing. They carry all the new season trends and scream fashion. Moss’s collection is a renowned vintage wardrobe with standout runway pieces.

 

5 Tory Burch Creative Director & Chief Executive of Tory Burch

From handbags to perfume to scarves, Tory Burch created a high-end clothing line. Right from her own kitchen, she built a multi-billion-dollar empire. By 2009, she launched the Tory Burch Foundation to support the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, which benefit both women and children. The program provides the appropriate resources and tools on business and management education. In 2014, Forbes named Burch the 79th most powerful woman in the world.

With their sense of style and ability to create trends, these influential women take fashion to another level. It’s become an art.
