ENTITY Mag answers the question: What is a clairvoyant?Image via Unsplash/@korpa

While many women will say they have a heightened sense of intuition, it’s hard to know if it’s actually intuitive ability or just anxiety. Here’s how you’ll know if you are actually a clairvoyant.

What is a Clairvoyant?

No, “clairvoyant” is not a skincare brand. It’s a person with the intuitive ability to see into the future and means, “clear-seeing” in French. In pop culture, clairvoyants have been represented by some of our favorite childhood characters, like Raven Baxter from “That’s So Raven.

According to dictionary.com, clairvoyant means, “Having or claiming to have the power of seeing objects or actions beyond the range of natural vision.”

While clairvoyants do not have as dramatic of visions as portrayed on television, most have visions of unknown present events (like helping to find a missing person) or predicting future events.

Clairvoyants aren’t the same as psychics. However, they can both perform readings about your life. According to the “Intuitive Souls Blog,” a clairvoyant’s visions manifest in their minds as colors, shapes, and images that have hidden meanings.

Here’s a list of characteristics any clairvoyant might have:

1. Finding Yourself Daydreaming…A LOT.

Since clairvoyance has a lot to do with visual representations that are outside of the physical world, clairvoyants tend to find themselves daydreaming quite often. While people daydream out of sheer boredom, clairvoyants often picture themselves in vivid scenarios they can see, hear, and feel in their minds.

These daydreams happen equally within busy and quiet settings. A clairvoyant person could find themselves shifting between the real-world vs. their fantasy one and can often pick up daydreams from where they left off the last time. These imagination-fueled scenarios often involve feelings of love and empathy that improve the clairvoyant’s life.

2. You Can Put Things Together Just By Looking at Them.

Are you a master at assembling IKEA furniture? Do you love puzzles and can put them together in no time? You might have the gift of clairvoyance. Even when there are hundreds of pieces to assemble, it takes you no time at all because you can just see how it all fits together.

3. You Are Drawn to Jobs That Are Visual.

Beautiful colors and visually appealing things are a MUST. Whether your dream job is a painter, architect, designer, photographer, or landscaper you are bound for a career in which visuals are everything. Similarly, people with psychic abilities tend to head in these same career paths.

4. You Can Plan Events/Spaces in Your Head.

Event planning is another career a clairvoyant could have. Because these jobs rely on visuals and “big picture” kind of thinking, it is important to “see” a finished product before it has even begun.

Clairvoyants are highly visual, they see places that might not even exist yet and can picture scenarios that never happened. It is easy for the people with these psychic abilities to picture their future wedding (or even their future daughter’s wedding) or plan out a date weeks before it is set.

5. Your Dreams Often Get Mistaken as Memories.

Have you ever reminisced on a fond memory with a friend only to find out they have no idea what you’re talking about? Do you ever feel like you’ve been to more places than you have? Congrats, you might be clairvoyant.

Dreams for clairvoyants are often so vivid, they feel like memories. Many clairvoyants even experience deja vu and feel like they are repeating themselves because of events that occurred during a dream.

Clairvoyants are among us and are more common than you’d think. These visual abilities could run through your family, friends, and even in yourself. There is even a test to know if you are clairvoyant. If you think you are, be sure to remain calm and know that you aren’t alone.
