ENTITY shares our favorite office outfits.

It’s Monday again and you have to figure out what to wear to work, but you’re tired of your usual outfit combinations. You know you’re supposed to “dress to impress,” but trying to pick a cute and professional outfit can become a hassle. What top are you supposed to wear? Is your dress too short? You spend half an hour shuffling from your closet to your mirror trying to find the perfect look, but you just aren’t satisfied.

Well, if you’re stuck and need some inspiration, here is a simple guide to creating easy, everyday office looks:

1 Wear monochromatic color schemes.

Wearing an outfit comprised of different shades and tones of the same color takes away the hassle of trying to match your clothes. Showing up to work in a simple black dress or an all-black outfit is the easiest way to look classy and confident. If you don’t like wearing all black, then you can even try wearing combinations of black, white or gray. You can even wear different shades of red, blue or yellow to spice up an outfit or you can do as The Fashion Tag suggests: wear a statement piece.

2 Add blazers to any of your outfits.

Blazers will immediately make you look professional. They come in a variety of cuts, colors and sleeve lengths. You can wear the “boyfriend blazer” for a more relaxed look or you can wear a cropped blazer with your pencil skirts. For those of you who enjoy wearing your favorite jeans, Who What Wear suggests dressing them up with a blazer. An important thing to remember, however, is to make sure your blazer is, as Who What Wear says, “pressed and as wrinkle-free as possible.”

3 Sport some wide-legged pants.

According to Elle magazine, Culottes are making a comeback. Because they’re so loose on the bottom, pair them with a tighter top to balance the look. These pants are great because they’re comfortable, chic, and as Harpers Bazaar writes, “they give you legs for days.”

4 Don t be afraid of the turtleneck.

You can never go wrong with a turtleneck. You can wear thicker, long-sleeved turtlenecks in the winter to keep you warm or you can rock a sleeveless turtleneck for hotter days. According to Vogue magazine, “Sleeveless turtlenecks are very well balanced…[they are] understated and sleek.” Because of the high neckline, wearing a turtleneck gives you a polished look. You can even pair this with a blazer to look even more professional, but just make sure to opt for a turtleneck made of thinner fabric.

5 Stay simple.

Just because you’re feeling lazy some days, that doesn’t mean you have to look lazy. Wearing a simple shift dress with your favorite pumps or sandals is, according to The Fashion Tag, one of the best ways to rock the “simple and feminine” look. If you’re wearing a solid color dress, try pairing it with bolder, brighter heels to spice up the outfit. Instead of wearing black shoes with a black dress, wear neon yellow shoes with a black dress. Or, if you’re an accessories kind of gal, wear your favorite necklace or belt with your dress.

Dressing up for work doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, it can be fun! The beauty of having wardrobe staples like turtleneck tops, fitted blazers, and neutral-colored outfits is that you can easily mix and match to create a style that suits your personality.
