ZANESVILLE, OH — More than 40 animals were shot and killed on Tuesday in Zanesville, Ohio, after the owner of a wide variety of large, dangerous animals let them loose before committing suicide. These animals included many near extinction.

Most states have strict laws on keeping exotic animals as pets. Some states, however, including Ohio, have much more relaxed laws and policies.

The thought of having a cute baby tiger or gorilla as a pet may seem appealing; casino online however, these animals will one day outweigh the largest human family member and will need special care that most people who have not earned a degree in zoology cannot fathom.

It is important that humans understand that all animals contribute to our eco-system and life cycle, and housing them as pets could offset the balance of nature.
