VSCO is highly regarded as many influencers’ favorite photo editing application. It’s easy to see why; their filters are gorgeous, and the app is free! Instagrammers specifically use it to create themes, or consistent photo patterns and color schemes, for their feed. To any newcoming influencer, here are some Instagram themes on VSCO to use as inspiration.
YouTuber Lee Rodriguez does a great job of explaining her warm vintage Instagram theme using VSCO features in her tutorial above. This theme has a lot of faded brown, red and orange undertones throughout the photos. If you want your account to have a cozy, warm, slightly dated feel to it, this is a good theme to start with.
Of course, you should never really copy someone else’s theme, because each color scheme represents a specific style and personality. It’s unlikely that even if you are into the warm vintage theme, you’ll like it the way exactly Rodriguez likes it. So use it as a model, and then adjust it from there to really make it your own.
YouTuber Miss Yanyi uses a “moody” Instagram theme that is described as “dark monochromatic” in her description. Her feed is set with dramatic, modern, cool blues. If this sounds like the feel you’re trying to go for, try out her suggested “HB2” filter on VSCO.
Miss Yanyi also uses FaceTune and Snapseed in her tutorial. If you’d like to download those apps as well to better follow her tutorial, that’s totally up to you. But with all these apps, you can take the opportunity to develop this theme to make it your own! Keep exploring and adjusting all the different features to determine what specific combination you like best.
YouTuber Summer Sheekey has a particularly popular video on Instagram themes on VSCO. For each photo, she follows eleven steps on both VSCO and FaceTune to make a particularly easy tutorial to follow.
She doesn’t ever define her theme, but I would say it’s a very classy, white and crisp. Her photos revolve around very light colors. She uses VSCO’s “A6” filter to keep her photos “fresh and bright.”
