Twitter really ran with the rejected Statue of Liberty sign hashtag, Entity reports.

Immigration activists unfurled a powerful sign reading “Refugees Welcome” from the observation deck of the Statue of Liberty on Tuesday.

The 20-foot by three-foot red and white banner hung near the statue’s base, and was placed not long after the Department of Homeland Security announced a new plan for enforcing immigration changes made by President Donald Trump.

Inspired by that act, Twitter started a hashtag pondering #RejectedStatueOfLibertySigns, such as “*Some restrictions may apply.”
