If your stomach and thighs don’t look like those of a Victoria’s Secret model, it’s “totally OK.” That’s the body positive message of Sailor Brinkley Cook, daughter of iconic model Christie Brinkley.

Sailor, 18, took to Instagram to share her words with young girls who watched the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on TV and posted them with a picture of the models from that Paris event.

“No body type is superior to another,” Cook wrote. “Every body is different and each and every one of those [bodies] are beautiful and strong and important and worthy of great things.”

She added, “Embrace your body type, work hard, set goals, be healthy and constantly remind yourself that you are good enough. VS is a celebration of women and awesome beauty.”

She then went on to say that comparing yourself to other people isn’t healthy.  As the daughter of Sports Illustrated model Christie Brinkley, Sailor knows what it feels like to constantly be compared to other people.

Back in August, Sailor, whose father is architect Peter Cook, shot back at the negative comments about her looking “nothing like her mother.”

“Everyone needs to stop putting me and my siblings and me and my mother in competition. I believe comparison will kill you. Comparison to others is toxic and unhealthy,” the teen wrote on Instagram. “As long as I am happy, healthy and kind to others why should I care if I am not as ‘pretty’ as someone else?”

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga agrees that it’s okay to look different from the rest and feels a welcome part of an open Angel family. “I feel welcomed into the Angel family as a unique and more rebel type of angel,” Gaga said in a short clip played before her performance in Paris.

The 30-year-old performer received her very own white, frayed angel wings to celebrate Gaga’s own unique and rebellious style.
