For those of us who have a daily habit of hitting the local Starbucks each morning, we might be making a habit of hitting their newest chain, Evolution Fresh, for lunch as well. Two weeks ago Starbucks Corp announced that they would be launching a juice bar chain serving fresh and bottled fruit and vegetable juices as well as smoothies. By Kara A. DiCamillio For those of us who have a daily habit of hitting the local Starbucks each morning, we might be making a habit of hitting their newest chain, Evolution Fresh, for lunch as well. Two weeks ago Starbucks Corp announced that they would be launching a juice bar chain serving fresh and bottled fruit and vegetable juices as well as smoothies. The menu includes wraps, salads, and soups, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.

Starbucks bought Evolution Fresh, which was started by the founder of Naked Juice, back in November for $30 million in cash. Since then the company has expanded its own bottled juice line to retailers, including Whole Foods.

Starbucks has not confirmed how many juice bars they will open, but the first location opened two weeks ago in Seattle. If you happen to try the Evolution Fresh in Seattle, let Sierra Club Green Home know how it is!
