Entity's tips on meal prep for mothers on the go.food prep mothers.

Mothers have superhuman abilities. Just think about the amount of work that goes into making sure your children are healthy, clean and well-fed. It’s the definition of a never-ending job.

Today’s mothers are extremely busy while balancing motherhood and a career. While bringing in the dough is definitely important, you also can’t afford to eat out every day. After coming home from a long day at work the last thing you want to do is cook a meal from scratch.

Well, worry no more! Here are some prep tips for simpler meals.

1 Sunday Prep Days

Are you willing to live the leftover life? Plan your meals for the week ahead of time, get everything done on Sunday and then just coast on leftovers the rest of the week. You do, however, want to make sure that the dishes you cook will last the whole week without going bad or developing an odd texture.

2 Freeze

If you’re worried that the meals you’ve prepped won’t last all week in the fridge, run to the store and grab some Ziploc bags and Tupperware. You can still meal prep on Sundays, but instead of keeping the food in the fridge, divide up quantities enough for one day and store them in the freezer instead. This way when you get home from work all you need to do is reheat dinner.

3 Extend Your Knowledge

Meal prepping for the week is definitely an acquired choice, but it’s not for everyone. Sometimes the struggle of getting dinner on the table is not so much the cooking time, but the time spent on figuring out what to make and getting ingredients you may not have. The solution here is to learn some new quick and easy dinner recipes. If you like making time consuming, intricate dinners some days, but other days you find yourself pressed for time, it helps to have a few options.

Pastas are easy to make. Allrecipes has many recipes you can follow, but you can also pick up a cookbook that’ll have plenty ideas. This way on the days you get home late, exhausted or starving you can make a meal in a matter of minutes.
