Nissan just created a very powerful 10-minute electric vehicle charger. At the moment, the charger is in experimental form. If it is introduced to the marketplace, however, it could help overcome consumer resistance to electric vehicles (EVs).

Long charging times often are a deal breaker when people consider switching to an EV. Currently recharging can require as long as eight hours at some charging stations. So an EV could be charged online casino overnight for a commute in the morning, but it”s impractical for long trips. Most people are accustomed to driving for as long as they need to and just stopping quickly every 100 miles or so for gas.

It is not clear exactly when the Nissan charger will hit the shelves, but one estimate is that it will take up to 10 years. So the 10-minute charger, though very fast to power a car, might not arrive quickly at all.
