What better way to spend Leap Day than to spend it looking at memes?
Feb. 29 is a mystery that only comes around once every four years. This means we have to enjoy the day as much as possible. And, obviously, that means laugh as much as possible.
And what’s funnier than a joke? A meme.
There are some pretty great ones out there, so we decided to compile some of our favorites. Here are the funniest Leap Day memes we found.
Leap Day is highly unappreciated but this meme maker gets it.
“30 Rock” said it best with this line. Leap Day only exists once every four years, so it’s not a normal day. So don’t waste it by treating it like a normal day. Go crazy on Leap Day, just like Liz Lemon tried to.
If this isn’t the most accurate description of Leap Day, then we don’t know what is. We’re constantly complaining that there isn’t enough time in a day to get everything done, but we’re given an extra 24 hours once every four years. Those extra 24 hours is enough time to get your life together. Right?
If you’re a Leap Day baby, then this struggle must be super real to you.
Well, not really whatever you want. Despite what “30 Rock” says, whatever happens on Leap Day doesn’t stay on Leap Day.
Get it? Leap Years exist because it actually takes Earth 365.25 days to orbit the sun. Get it? Science jokes, everyone.
Whoever created this is truly a savage. Men are literally willing to do whatever it takes to get out of celebrating an anniversary, am I right?
This meme is too real. I guess there is a downside to having an extra day? Also, if you’re getting paid a yearly salary, you’re not getting paid extra for that extra day. Rough.
That’s what we call looking on the positive side of things.
This one is also very real. People are taking this whole “nothing counts on Leap Day” phrase way too far.
How do you know if someone has a Leap Day birthday? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you. They’re actually the luckiest people. They don’t have to be reminded of how old they’re getting every year since they technically turn one year older every four years.
Okay, where was this person when Julius Caesar asked his astronomer to come up with a better way to fit in the extra 0.25 days it takes for Earth to orbit the sun in the calendar? We could sure use some extra beauty sleep.
Say it isn’t so. Say it isn’t so!
Overall, you can spend Leap Day doing anything your heart desires. So why not spend it laughing?
