Entity lists the five best virtual reality glasses you can buy now.

Imagine diving deep into oceans or exploring space right from the comfort of your living room. Virtual reality headsets, which have become even more technologically advanced in recent years, have been made available on the market by a number of technology companies.

Pokémon Go and the need to “catch them all” recently brought VR into the mainstream with the app’s sweeping popularity. These advanced virtual reality glasses are hoping to do the same.

1 Google Cardboard

Google launched its Google Cardboard VR headset recently, which looks and sounds like something straight out of Pinterest. This DIY product – which is usable with a smartphone, VR apps and a foldable cardboard viewer – is mobile and relatively inexpensive at around $20.

2 Vive

This brainchild of HTC and Valve may be much more expensive (at $799) than the Cardboard, but it boasts a better VR experience. You can be in an aquarium, search a sunken boat or shoot down space villains with this interactive VR set. Vive is not mobile but has hand controls to make it even more realistic.

3 Oculus Rift

Minecraft, movies and video games are available on the non-mobile Oculus Rift (priced at $599). Released earlier this year, Oculus has been getting starred reviews and seems to be the VR set that makes “the unreal real” and is going to take us into the future of virtual reality.

4 Samsung Gear VR

Virtual reality “just got real” with the next-generation Samsung Gear. Similar to the Google Cardboard device, the Samsung Gear VR, priced at $99, works when a Galaxy smartphone is snapped onto the head gear to create the VR experience. Many more games and a comfortable design are available on the new version of this mobile set.

5 PlayStation VR

The moderately pricey (at $399) PlayStation VR set comes with “worlds” and hand controls. With its amazing graphic display and 3D audio, it’s no wonder the PlayStation VR has great reviews after its launch in October.
