Reflecting on her journey, Schwab shared with podcast host Tracy Holland, “It starts in the beginning, women are stuck behind the line of scrimmage in terms of available funding so you have to always bear in mind when you start a business as a woman, that you’re going to have to work twice, maybe three times as hard, to get to the same place where your male founders are.”
Schwab emphasized the significance of forming connections in business as an entrepreneur, highlighting how they facilitated ENTITY Academy’s growth. She shared how one of their first investors, Susan Rockefeller, became interested in ENTITY Academy after her daughter, a student, witnessed its impact firsthand.

Schwab pointed out that while it may take time, these relationships are key to success, especially for female entrepreneurs tackling societal issues.
“That’s one thing about ENTITY that has been so valuable for me personally is the relationships I’ve built because everyone is on board to helping women get ahead,” Schwab told Holland.
Schwab shared insights into embracing volatility and complexity as an entrepreneur, emphasizing the need to wear multiple hats and seek candid feedback.
By shifting the mindset from “have to” to “get to,” female business owners can navigate uncertainty and complexity with confidence.
