Entity reports on the new Ellen DeGeneres game show.

Ellen DeGeneres stans will be able to invite the talk show host into their living rooms for an extra hour thanks to new game show “Game of Games.”

“We’re pulling out all the stops — gigantic sets, hilarious games. It’s going to be a combination of ‘American Ninja Warrior,’ ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and a water park. OK, it’s nothing like that, but you should still watch,” host Ellen DeGeneres said of the new show.

Fans of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will likely remember games – such as “Know or Go” and “Heads Up” – from the daytime chat show, on which the famed host often plays made-up games and contests. Those are set to serve as inspiration for the new “Game of Games.”

Entity reports on the new Ellen DeGeneres game show that will take inspiration from her talk show.

New Ellen DeGeneres game show “Game of Games” will take inspiration from her talk show.

The new series already has a six-episode pickup with a primetime slot on NBC. The official description from the network says “contestants – pulled right from the audience – will have to maneuver massive obstacles, answer questions under immense pressure and face a gigantic plunge into the unknown.” Each episode will also feature a chance for a “huge cash prize.”

It’s no surprise the WB wanted to see Ellen hosting another show, as 3.6 million viewers already tune in for her talk show every day. And a game show seems like the perfect choice for the star, whose mobile game Heads Up! has been downloaded over 25.5 million times, per Forbes.

Fans certainly seemed to like it when Ellen branched out before to host big events, such as the Emmys, Grammys and perhaps most famously, the Oscars. Remember that selfie? So the comedian is certainly up to the task.

The busy star is also a producer on NBC’s Steve Harvey-hosted “Little Big Shots,” and is working on a scripted comedy pilot in consideration at ABC.

No date has been set yet for upcoming hour-long series, “Game of Games,” but if it’s like anything else that Ellen touches – it’s sure to be an instant hit.
