ENTITY reports on 13 reasons why season two.PHOTO VIA INSTAGRAM/@13REASONSWHY

The much anticipated “13 Reasons Why” season two will return to the Bay Area this Sunday, June 4 with a casting call at the USA World Classics Museum. Production hasn’t even begun, but anxious fans want to know what will happen now that Hannah Baker’s story has wrapped up.

Luckily, we have Selena Gomez around to give a sneak peak. During an interview with Seattle’s Movin’ 92.5 station, she said, “I didn’t expect it to have as big of a reaction that it did. It was amazing and it was complicated. And there was a lot of stuff that came with it and I understood what that meant.”

Here’s what else the pop star turned producer revealed, along with some information about what you can expect from “13 Reasons Why” season two.

1 Does Hannah return for season two?

Screenwriter Brian Yorkey confirmed that Hannah does return to season two of “13 Reasons Why.”

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he stated, “The question still hanging out there is whether someone is responsible for Hannah’s death.” He goes on to say that this question will be explored through a trial and through the teenager’s reflection on their lives several months after the tragedy.

So, you can expect to see a courtroom setting with Hannah’s classmates as probable witnesses.

2 Can we expect a new voiceover?

Screenwriter Brian Yorkey based his script on Jay Asher’s “13 Reasons Why,” using each cassette tape to lay the groundwork for all 13 episodes. In season one, the time shifts back and forth between Hannah’s past and Clay’s present-day experience. Hannah’s present-day voiceover accompanies Clay and the audience through the many incidents that lead to the teenager’s tragic death.

Yorkey mentioned to Entertainment Weekly that the new season continues to shift between the past and the present with a completely different person as the voiceover. Although he doesn’t reveal any names!

One thing he does share is that the cassette tapes from the previous season will not be as significant to the plot. But we should be on the lookout for another kind of analog technology at play.

3 Will there be another controversial death scene?

In Yorkey’s interview, it sounded like most of season two will continue to explore the death of Hanna Baker. Gomez did, however, admit that she was in the writer’s room “freaking out” after learning what happens next.

She also stated, “We elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through and are going through. So it’s exciting.”

At this point, one can only guess what happens next. But Gomez’s excitement does confirm that there’s still so much leftover drama in need of exploring from the first season.

ENTITY bets we’ll learn more revealing details that resolve all our questions after watching the season one finale!
