Good girl gone bad? The last person we expected to wear a politically incorrect outfit is Hilary Duff, but her controversial Halloween costume proves us wrong.
The “Younger” star donned a Pilgrim’s outfit, complete with black hat and bib, while new beau, trainer Jason Walsh, wore a Native American headdress and face paint at the Casamigos Halloween Party in Los Angeles.
Their costumes were met with backlash on social media, people taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
I can’t believe Hilary Duff looked at her boyfriend and thought “yes this costume is perfect and not offensive.”

Duff realized the error of her ways and took to Twitter to make her apologizes, saying, “I am SO sorry to people I offended with my costume.”
I am SO sorry to people I offended with my costume. It was not properly thought through and I am truly, from the bottom of my ❤️sorry.

This couple is not the first to apologize for wearing a culturally-insensitive Native American costume. Showing his support for those protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline, Hemsworth posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Last New Year’s Eve I was at a ‘Lone Ranger’ themed party where some of us, myself included, wore the traditional dress of First Nations people.”
He apologized for the costume, saying he was “stupidly unaware” of his the issue’s sensitivity.
