Jessica Jones is one hell of a woman and that’s no exaggeration.

She has superhuman strength. She can fly. And she can even use her muscle power to block mind control. Jessica Jones is as hard as nails and – that’s right – she’s back for a second season.

In season one’s  “Jessica Jones” episodes, audiences learned that Jessica is a private investigator dealing with the traumatic loss of her family. She also has a sociopathic stalker ex-boyfriend with mind control powers. And she may have a bit of a drinking habit. But, being buzzed doesn’t stop this heroine from using her super strength to crush the villains she encounters.

For that, we absolutely can’t wait to see what is in store for “Jessica Jones” in season two. So, ENTITY’s compiled a list of the top five things we love about Jessica Jones.

5 The men had their turn to give Marvel a sexy R-rated twist, but Jessica Jones has officially taken over.

Iron Man lives the glitzy life and is famous for being that rich tech dude that protects the universe. He’s cocky and can get away with just about everything…because of his money.

Deadpool says and does what he wants. He curses, drinks and occasionally burns a bad guy’s face with a car lighter because, you know, he’s not here to take shit from anyone. But behind his self-satisfied smugness and flirty wit, he is emotionally isolated from everyone because of a love long lost.

As for Jessica Jones, she lives in a rundown apartment, knocks back a bottle of whiskey a night and has some pretty heavy emotional issues to deal with, but none of these factors hold her back. She’s not sitting around crying about her problems, making excuses or letting them turn her to the dark side. Instead, she says things like this:

“You think you’re the only ones who’ve lost people? You think you’re the only ones with pain? You think you can take your shit and dump it on me? You don’t get to do that! So you take your God damned pain and you live with it, assholes!”

4 But while Jessica Jones may be the toughest female Marvel character we’ve seen, she also has a hidden sensitive side.

As Jessica has previously said, “They say everyone’s born a hero. But if you let it, life will push you over the line until you’re the villain. Problem is, you don’t always know that you’ve crossed that line. Maybe it’s enough that the world thinks I’m a hero.”

On the outside, she may seem like she doesn’t care about anything. But on the inside, she often thinks about the implications of being a hero and how that’s seriously affected her.

3 Jessica Jones is played by Krysten Ritter.

Who doesn’t love the “Jessica Jones” leading lady, Krysten Ritter? Sarcastic and edgy characters are kind of her thing. From roles on “Breaking Bad,” “Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23” and in “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” we have to keep coming back for more of her notorious sass.

And she’s not just cool in the roles she plays. We would totally hangout with her in real life too. When she is not acting in TV hits like “Jessica Jones,” Ritter writes scandal-ridden books, like her 2017 novel “Bonfire” about an environmental lawyer. Or she takes to Instagram to post pictures of her cute puppy Mikey Mohawk.

The Jessica Jones cast also includes big names like Rachael Taylor and David Tennant. So that’s a plus.

2 She is super sarcastic and has a dry sense of humor.

Need examples? No problem. Here are our favorite lines:

“I can’t get her to wear a dress for the life of me.”
“I’ll wear one to your funeral.”

“They say that talking about a trauma – that it helps. That and jogging. Two things that make me feel like crap.”

1 Jessica Jones is completely flawed…

Most of the time she seems like an emotional and irresponsible wreck who shouldn’t be considered a superhero… but her flaws are what make her relatable.

Not to mention, she’s still super badass. As we’ve said, she doesn’t let her personal problems slow her down.
