Entity magazines give gamers a list of other sports game to try once they're done playing Electronic Arts' Madden 17.

“Madden 17” is the latest installment in the EA Sports franchise. Released in 2016, it sported updates from “Madden 16,” its predecessor. The game scored a 87 percent rating on Metacritic, generally pleasing fans.

While “Madden 18’s” release date is around the corner on August 25, gamers are still looking for something to fill the void. ENTITY is here to help!

Here are five other sports games you can check out.

1 EA “UFC 2”

Mixed Martial Arts (or MMA, hated by Meryl Streep) is by far my favorite sport. So much so, that I even intermittently study Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am not great at it, but it’s more for the fun and the challenge.

You can imagine my excitement when I learned that there was a video game adaptation of the sport. These bouts are one-on-one fights, which is unique from “Madden 17” and most sporting games, as most are based on team sports.

It’s also a lot more violent than you’re typical sporting game. So if you want to take a break from being a team player and kick some ass, check out EA “UFC 2.”

2 “Fifa 17”

Ah yes, the other football. “Fifa 17” is an extremely popular game, which is understandable when you consider that soccer is the world’s most popular sport. As a matter of fact, “Fifa” is way more popular than Madden outside of the US. You can play as a great deal of your favorite players.

Female players became playable characters in “Fifa 16.” In” Fifa 17,” you can play as beloved characters such as Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. Of course, the more you know about soccer, the easier it’ll probably be.

3 “NBA 2K17”

This is the first game on our list that isn’t developed by “Madden 17’s” parent company EA Sports. “NBA 2K17” is actually developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, another leader in the sporting games industry.

The game has an 88 percent score on Metacritic. It definitely doesn’t exceed Madden or Fifa in popularity, but it does afford the opportunity to see Obama and Trump go one-on-one. Which makes it worth it if you ask me. He gets dunked on SO MANY TIMES.

4 “Rocket League”

So, bear with me here. “Rocket League” is a soccer game, but it’s not a regular soccer game. It’s a cool soccer game. Instead of playing with humans, you control an RC Car that must help the other cars on the team guide the ball to your opponent’s goal.

I haven’t played “Rocket League” yet, but from the videos I’ve watched on YouTube it looks like a ton of fun. “Rocket League” is the oldest game on the list, with a release date in the summer of 2015.

5 “MLB 16 The Show”

“MLB 16 The Show” is developed by SIE San Diego Studio. It has an 85 percent score on Metacritic and is lauded for its realism. Released in March 2016, IGN called it “the best baseball game available on any current gen console.”

The game has several different modes, and while all of them aren’t perfect, it still makes for awesome game play. Also, you should check out TmarTn2’s other channel SuperCooperSunday. It features the gamer, his adorable Golden Retriever Cooper, his girlfriend Chelsea and their Pyrenees named Koda.

You still have a couple months until “Madden 18,” so get out there and play some games!
